My goal is to help others set up a system to save and manage your own data. Instead of using things like Google Drive or iCloud, you can have everything stored on your own hardware and still securely access it from anywhere with an internet connection.
Depending on what apps and services you want to run, the hardware can get a bit expensive. If you have an old PC lying around that you don’t use anymore, it’s the best place to start!
I will mostly be talking about TrueNAS Scale since that’s what I run on my home server. I will try to include instructions for Docker Compose files as well.
